The midterm elections are coming and as we all know, it’s an important time in U.S. history. Perhaps the most important. I’m sure if you regularly login to your Twitter app or the fiery pit of hell that is Facebook, pay attention to the news or just talk to the people you are around, you’re aware that the White House is currently a circus led by an orange figure whose made more headlines for his tryst with Stormy Daniels than anything he’s done for the betterment of the country. Want to know why? Look no further than the fools who voted for an incompetent sociopath who is wildly entertaining yet extremely in over his head when it comes to making America great. If you ever questioned if America was great in the first place, look no further than slavery, Jim Crow Laws, segregation and most recently, the mishandling of immigrants, who like everyone else deserve a chance at success in this “so-called” great country. As young voters, we have a chance to make a statement. How do we do that? We get out and vote. Who you vote for is solely your decision and shouldn’t be influenced by anyone else’s opinions. I just believe that if you want to have a say in the way this country is ran, you have no choice but to participate in electing public officials, and not just on the national scale but the local one as well. With that being said, I present to you Colin Allred, a North Dallas native, who played in the NFL, became a civil rights attorney and is now running for Congress in Dallas’ 32nd district. Here’s some information on Mr. Allred. Feel free to do your own research and  make your own decisions. Whatever your choice is, just make sure you get out there and make it count in a voting booth.
